This is a local race decided by a few thousand votes. That means the things that actually move it are small and personal: a yard sign on a busy street, a conversation with a neighbor, an hour knocking doors on a Saturday.

If you're willing to help, here's what makes the biggest difference:

• Put up a yard sign. 

• Knock doors or make calls. 

• Host a meet-and-greet. Even a few neighbors in a living room. 

• Talk to two people. Seriously — that's the whole ask. Tell two people they have two votes.
